What is a Ruach Rock?
Ruach means spirit in Hebrew, and our Ruach Rock is a perfect way to display our community spirit! Parents, students and staff have the opportunity to rent the Ruach Rock to recognize a student, teacher, or staff member. 

How can I rent the Ruach Rock? 
This year, rental slots are available three times a week, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Scroll down to reserve your dates and make sure to read all of the rules below. Payments must be made at the time of sign-up via credit card, check, or cash. 

Do I paint the rock?
Yes, you paint the rock. Here are the supplies you might need: Two cans of spray paint, a drop cloth, acrylic craft paint for your design, and brushes or foam sponges. 

What if the rock is already reserved on the dates that I want?
Rock reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. If the dates you want are already booked, choose the next available time slot, either before or after. 

There is no PTA painter available for the 2024-2025 school year. 

Rules

1. You cannot book two (or more) time slots in a row. You will need to complete a new request/transaction for each rock reservation.

2. Rock Reservation $20: You paint! You will need 1-2 spray paint cans for the base. Acrylic craft paint and brushes/sponges are helpful for the design. No stickers or other adhesives are allowed. After you paint, please ensure the area around the rock remains clean and free of trash and debris. If these rules are broken, you will not be able to reserve the rock in the future.

3. No profane words, symbols, political comments, or derogatory/offensive message are permitted. We do not tolerate bullying, obscenity, or discriminatory remarks. Our PTA reserves the right to paint over any content we deem inappropriate and you will not be able to reserve the rock in the future.

4. The PTA reserves the right to block off dates for school use.

5. Payment is due at the time of the reservation. Cash or check payments can be turned into the school office. Label your envelope with the dates you are requesting and the painting option. Please make out checks to the "Jacksonville Jewish Center" and write "PTA Ruach Rock" on the memo line.

6. All proceeds from the rock (including the volunteer PTA painter fees) are used to fund the Preschool and Day School PTA initiatives.

7. We are not responsible for missed or forgotten reservations. If bad weather should occur, the painting date will be moved to the next day. If bad weather occurs for a long period of time, we will move it to another open day or provide a refund.
