Challah Subscription Orders

Thank you in advance for choosing to purchase your challah from the Galinsky Academy PTA!  
The proceeds from challah orders and sales help fund the products and materials for our Shabbat in a Bag & Mitzvah Programs.

How Do I Sign Up?

You can use the below form for a challah subscription. **If you would like to order for just specific weeks, you can use our weekly challah order form here**

How Much Is It?

Full year subscription is $200. This includes 33 weeks of challah plus one set of two round challahs for Rosh Hashanah. 

If you chose to order weekly instead, the weekly orders are $5.75/challah (and $12.50 for two Rosh Hashanah rounds).

 

What Else Do I Need To Know?

1. If ordering weekly, orders must be placed by Noon on Wednesday of each week. If you sign up for a subscription after noon Wednesday, then it will begin the following week. 

 

2. Challah orders are linked to the school calendar. If your challah is coming home with a student, it will generally be sent home on Friday, but if school is closed that day then it will be sent home on Thursday. If school is closed on Thursday and Friday of a given week, there will be no challah that week. If you plan to pick up your challah from the JJC Front Office, pick up will be on Friday unless school is closed that day, in which case pick up will be on Thursday. If school is closed on Thursday and Friday of a given week, then there will be no challah that week. Please consult the school calendar so you know your pickup days.  

 

3. If you plan to be away or can't use your subscription challah for the week, please let us know, and we would be happy to either donate it or freeze it as an extra for you for the following week. 

 

4. Full Year Subscriptions include two Rosh Hashanah round challahs on September 19, 2025, with a choice of plain or raisin.

 

5. The challah is made by Laromme and carries the Circle K kosher certification.  While the individual loaves will not have this label, it is on the original packaging and a copy will be kept in the school office.
